The Offline Poker Experience
Real Poker, Real People
Our poker nights are all about face-to-face play. There's no screen between you and the game—just the shuffle of cards, the weight of chips, and the energy of players around the table. The room runs on the small rituals that make live poker feel alive: the dealer's call, the snap of a card, the quiet nod when a hand is over.
Every table in the dedicated poker room is professional grade, with deep cup holders, padded rails, and felt that holds the cards exactly where they should be. Whether you are here for a tournament or a cash game, the setup is built to let you focus on the table, not the furniture.
A Coastal Card Room
Set within the Henry Rous Tavern, our poker room blends dark tropical materials with contemporary card-room design, creating an atmosphere that's both relaxed and focused. Dark teak frames the tables, ocean blues sit behind the bar, and the green felt catches the warm light like a quiet pocket of the Northern Rivers coast.
The Restaurant Connection
While poker is the hero, our restaurant ensures you're well fed and refreshed throughout the night. From quick bites to full meals, the kitchen is ready when you are. You can order without leaving your seat, or step away for a proper dinner between sessions.
Weekly Poker Night Schedule
Regular Nights
We host poker nights every Thursday and Saturday, starting at 7:00 PM. Each night features a different format to keep the game fresh.
- Thursday: Texas Hold'em tournament
- Saturday: Cash game with rotating blinds
Special Events
Throughout the year, we host special poker nights, including themed tournaments and charity events. Check back often for announcements, or ask our staff when you next visit.
Inside the Poker Room
Designed for the Game
Our poker room is built for serious play. Professional poker tables, comfortable seating, and optimal lighting ensure you can focus on the cards. The overhead lamps are positioned so the felt is bright without glare, and the chairs are chosen for long sessions rather than quick visits.
The Card Lounge
Adjacent to the poker room, the card lounge offers a relaxed space to unwind between hands or wait for a seat. It shares the same dark teak and ocean-blue palette, but with softer seating and a slower rhythm—perfect for reviewing a hand or just catching your breath before the next shuffle.
Poker Night Etiquette
Respect the Game
Poker nights are friendly but focused. Please be courteous to dealers and fellow players, keep phone use to a minimum, and act in turn.
- Act only when it is your turn
- Keep cards and chips visible on the table
- Silence or pocket your phone during hands
- Treat dealers and players with respect
New Players Welcome
Never played before? Our dealers are happy to explain the basics. Arrive 30 minutes early for a quick orientation, and you'll learn the flow of the game before the first hand is dealt.
Food and Drinks During Play
Table Service
Our staff provide table service throughout the night, so you don't have to leave the game. Order from a curated menu of poker-friendly dishes and drinks—things you can manage with one hand while the other protects your cards. Sliders, share plates, and cold drinks arrive quietly at your elbow.
The Restaurant
If you prefer a break, the restaurant offers a full dining experience. Enjoy a meal before, during, or after your poker session. The kitchen stays open through the evening, so a late finish doesn't mean a missed dinner.
